Henry Smith

Henry is a rare creative who can switch from creativity and ideation to logistics and screen business with the elegance of those fancy quick costume change acts. With a background in directing, producing and cinematography, he is an award winning, multidisciplinary senior creative and producer.


Since a young age, Henry's interest in captivating storytelling has led him down a path of directing, producing and shooting content for a career. His first break into the film industry came when he made a short stop-motion animation about bullying at the age of 15 and the rest is history! He saw how the power of storytelling could make a difference and that's what he's pursued; making purpose led creative. 


Henry has directed, produced and shot campaigns and branded content for a range of clients including National Geographic, P&O Cruises, Sesame Street, Australia Post and Google.

His ability to scale up and manage teams in order to produce premium content and campaigns is reflected in his recognition when he received the Optus Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2018.  Capable of handling a wide range of budgets and client briefs, Henry's focus always comes back to quality storytelling and ensuring the creative is compelling, engaging and purposeful.

When he's not producing and making screen content, Henry is also a passionate designer and illustrator with seven published children's books under his belt, a branded content children's book about water preservation for Finish and a number of cute mascot designs for the Special Olympics.


He is also the co-founder of the creative production company, Taste Creative.
